  Hello! How are you?  

Okinawa is an island south of Japan. There are many US bases on the island. The map below gives an idea of the bases, although this is a Marine Corps map (the best I could find on the internet without looking too hard) and I am sure there are other US bases as well. Jim is stationed at the Kadena Air Base. He is a Lieutenant in the US Navy and flies small cargo/transport planes.
Amber, Jim, Abbey, Kade and Marcella currently live off base and are debating whether to get housing on base. They live right outside one of the gates to the base, but that gate is never open, so their commute is a bit longer than what they would like.
